A HOST of stars from the big and small screen are heading to Malvern.
Former Doctor Who Colin Baker, ex- Hollyoaks Ben Hull and The History Boys’ Maggie Steed lead the latest production of Michael Frayn’s farce Noises Off.
The frantic comedy follows an inept theatre company as they stumble from dress rehearsal to disastrous last night of the traditional British farce, Nothing On. While the play within a play is performed a real-life farce unfolds backstage.
Noises Off runs from Monday, October 27, but first Alan Ayckbourn’s Absurd Person Singular must be staged.
A crowd of well known faces – Sarah Crowe (Four Weddings and a Funeral), Matthew Cottle (Game On), Marc Bannerman (EastEnders) and David Griffin (Keeping Up Appearances) – star in Ayckbourn’s 1972 dark comedy that turns a spotlight on middle class types scaling the social ladder.
