GREEN-fingered children from a Worcester nursery have been busy planting daffodils to raise money for charity.
Youngsters at Albany Nursery School, based at the United Reform Church in Albany Terrace, Barbourne, are taking part in Mini Pots of Care, a creative activity to raise funds for Marie Curie Cancer Care, run in partnership with Yellow Pages directories.
Each child has been given their own mini-pot to plant daffodil bulbs in during the autumn term.
The children will learn how to care for the bulb and, when the daffodils bloom in spring, they will paint their pot and take it home to somebody they care about in return for a small donation to Marie Curie Cancer Care.
Support from Yellow Pages, Homebase and CityLink ensures that all the money raised through fund-raising goes directly to the work of the Marie Curie Nurses.
