A FIRE at a pub is being investigated.
Four adults escaped unharmed from the Berkeley Arms when a fire was discovered in a small utility room about 2.07am today.
Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service sent three crews to the pub on the A44 Evesham road.
Fire service spokesman Alec Mackie said: "The fire was discovered when somebody going to bed smelled smoke and thought someone had left something burning in the kitchen.
"There was a small fire downstairs and he or she alerted others in the property and got themselves out before calling the fire brigade."
Mr Mackie said the fire, which was limited to the ground floor, was put out by 4am.
"The cause of the fire is unknown at the moment," he said. "We are carrying out a fire investigation."
