NO stone will go unturned during the latest phase of the CrownGate Shopping Centre refurbishment.
Work is about to begin on renewing the paving in the Bull Walk section of the centre from BHS to HMV.
The current paving will be lifted, removed, recycled and replaced with new York stone and slate to create a brighter, more modern look that is also in keeping with the traditional features of the centre. The work will complete the first phase of the centre’s makeover costing £3.2 million.
Centre manager Erica Burlace said: “We are very excited about bringing the first phase of the refurbishment to a close, though we are extremely pleased that the work so far has been to schedule.
“We are aware that the up-coming paving work may produce a little more dust and noise than usual and we will do our very best to keep disruption to a minimum for everyone.”
The entire refurbishment project is expected to finish in July 2009.
