THE County Air Ambulance has received donations totalling £12,000 from the Freemasons in Worcestershire, Herefordshire and Gloucestershire.
Three provincial grand masters – Richard Goddard for Worcestershire, Rodney Smallwood for Herefordshire and Adrian Davies for Gloucestershire – visited the air ambulance base at Strencham, near Upton-upon- Severn, to meet the crew and present £4,000 each to the service.
Annie Newell, area fund-raising manager for the service, said: “Freemasons raise large amounts of money for local, national and international charities and therefore we were delighted to invite representatives from the provinces to visit our base to see for themselves the work of the air service.”
The money has come from the Freemasons Grand Charity which is giving £180,000 to air ambulances across the country.
