THE Camera Club has made an excellent start to the season, welcoming 16 new members and 18 visitors already.
Our first meeting was on September 2 with Guy Edwards visiting from Dorset and talking us through examples of his own inspiring landscape and nature photographs.
The following week David Castle gave us step-by-step guidance on how to achieve panoramic image stitching techniques, while Landscape And Mood was the presentation by Irene Froy in week three.
At the end of the month it was time to demonstrate our own abilities with the first internal competition of the current season.
Among successful members the following achieved maximum scores in various categories: Colour prints/gold section: Peter Jepson – Speed Machine; Clive Haynes – Companions; Martin Addison – Jasper.
Colour prints/silver section: Brian Eacock, two prints entitled Windy Day in Norfolk and Miss Britain.
Monochrome prints section: Clive Haynes – Trawler Man; Roger Blandford – Lily.
Projected images section: Malcolm Haynes – The Kings Drummer; Ian Martin – Winter.
The club currently has an exhibition at Number 8 Arts Centre, High Street, Pershore, until October 21 (between 10am and 4pm Monday to Saturday). If you need more details, visit worcestershirecameraclub.co.uk.
