A FORMER Miss Worcester has beaten hundreds of other girls to win a top title at a prestigious beauty competition.
Jodi Edwards was crowned Miss Intercontinental England at a glittering gala show at the Renaissance hotel at London’s Heathrow Airport.
She beat more than 500 girls to take the title.
Miss Edwards, who was last year’s Miss Worcester, will now go on to help Miss Intercontinental Great Britain winner Sophie Anderson in her year-long quest to raise funds for Children with Leukaemia – a charity dedicated to fighting Britain’s biggest childhood cancer through research, new treatment and support of leukaemic children and their families.
Miss Edwards’ mother Janet said: “Jodi has had all kinds of different offers from various modelling agencies as a result of this win so it has opened a few doors for her.”
Miss Edwards, who used to live in Fernhill Heath, recently moved to London to take up a management training course with the John Lewis Partnership.
