THE partner of the man who died in a house fire earlier today is fighting for her life, it is understood.
Rosanne Perkins is currently undergoing treatment in intensive care after the blaze broke out in a property in The Glade, Malvern, at about 1.30am.
Richard Perkins, 37, died in the fire.
It is also understood that Ms Perkins's 17-year-old daughter, Katie, is also in intensive care.
Ben Perkins, 18, suffered a broken ankle in the incident and Sean Perkins, 22, was also in the house but is thought to have escaped unharmed.
Fire crews had 15 emergency calls to the fire and residents reported seeing people trapped inside.
A total of 30 firefighters attended the scene where they found flames leaping 10ft from the bedroom window.
Ten firemen with breathing apparatus entered the terraced house, and two firefighters forced their way into a bedroom via a window where they found Mr Perkins.
A spokeswoman for Festival Housing said: "Obviously, this is a tragic incident. At the moment we are attending the scene to ascertain what can be done to help the family over the following days."
Festival Housing is also assessing the state of the building and is "working with the fire service".
