DENNIS the Menace, Heidi and Scooby Doo were just some of the characters pupils at Broadwas Primary School dressed up as to celebrate National Book Week.
Children got involved in a host of activities throughout the week, including a book swap and the production of a school joke book.
Reading co-ordinator Karen Smith said: “It was a fantastic week and all the children really enjoyed taking part in a host of reading activities. It was really good fun.”
Key stage two boys from the school also got the chance to meet children’s author Steve Coles.
