STRIPPING stars take a sneak peek at their audience as the Full Monty musical returns to Worcester.
The musical stage version of hit film The Full Monty went down a storm when Worcester Operatic and Dramatic Society performed it last year.
It was so successful, the company has decided to revisit the tale of a group of unemployed steelworkers turned strippers for a second run from tomorrow to this Saturday at the Swan Theatre.
The group are calling it a “second exposure” for the story, which is transported from Sheffield in Yorkshire to Buffalo in New York and features a raft of original songs. The characters have no cash and no prospects and when they find their wives and girlfriends going crazy over male strippers, they hit on an idea to make a few bucks by baring all in the name of entertainment.
It is a decision that will take them on an emotional journey through their own fears and and anxieties as they find the inner courage to appear on stage. WODS hope the return will prove just as big a hit as the first time they did it, when it was acclaimed as a triumph artistically and at the box office. For tickets call 01905 611427.
