A WOMAN escaped serious injury after her car collided with a tractor on a narrow country lane.
Two ambulances, an incident support officer and a BASICS Emergency Doctor were called to the crash in Goosehill Lane in Broughton Green, near Droitwich, just before 11.15am yesterday.
The woman, who suffered chest and shoulder injuries, was described by paramedics as "lucky".
A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “Crews arrived at the scene to find a car which had been in collision with a tractor towing a trailer. The car had suffered very significant front end damage and the tractor was also damaged.
“As the crash had completely blocked the narrow lane, making it impassible for a period, ambulance crews had to approach the incident from both directions.”
The woman was immobilised with a neck collar and spinal board and taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital for further treatment. No one else was injured.
