A CAR crashed in to a field after narrowly missing an oncoming vehicle on the Worcester-to-Hereford road.
The near miss happened on the A4103 at Stiffords Bridge, close to the Herefordshire/Worcestershire border at 11pm on Thursday.
A spokesman for Herefordshire police said the black car travelling towards Hereford, attempted to overtake another vehicle, lost control and went off the road into a field, narrowly avoiding another vehicle heading in the opposite direction towards Worcester. Nobody was hurt.
Police are keen to trace the male driver of the car travelling towards Worcester, who did stop afterwards but did not leave his contact details.
The driver is urged to contact PC Richard Pearce of the road policing team at Hereford Police Station on 08457 444888 as soon as possible.
