ACOUSTIC roots duo Show of Hands visit Worcester this month – but the show has already sold out.
Singer songwriter Steve Knightley and multi instrumentalist Phil Beer – who have sold out the Royal Albert Hall three times – will perform at the Swan Theatre, Worcester, on Sunday, September 28.
Accompanied by double bass player and vocalist Miranda Sykes, they will promote their new live CD, which includes the first recording of the band’s Peter Gabriel Secret World cover and will raise money for CLIC Sargent (Cancer and Leukaemia in Childhood) and the Paediatric Oncology Fund at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital where Knightley’s six-year-old son Jack is receiving treatment for leukaemia.
Show of Hands was voted Best Live Act at the 2004BBCRadio 2 FolkAwards.
