ACOUSTIC soulster Jamie Knight performs at The Mug House in Claines this weekend.
The Worcester singer songwriter, whose mellow sound is inspired by the likes of Damien Rice, Ray LaMontagne and David Gray, performs at the village pub along with Simon Othen, Catherine Oldham and Dan Greenaway.
The Sunday gig – Under the Tree – starts at 2pm and will raise money for St Richard’s Hospice in Worcester.
Expect local beer and barbecue food.
Knight is a long standing, respected local performer. His latest album, Bound, received a lot of air play in America. Eve Adams, co-president ACM Records, once said: “James Blunt couldn’t hold a candle next to this guy. Jamie’s vocals are lush, pure and organic with no pretentious attempts at anything, only solid skill and mastery of style.”
