PREPARE for a spectacular Pink Floyd light show. The ever-popular, awardwinning Coventry-based tribute band Dark Side Of The Wall are returning to Worcester’s Swan Theatre for their annual show on Saturday, September 13.

Having first performed in the city in 2000, with previous shows taking place at Perdiswell Leisure Centre and Huntingdon Hall, the Worcester shows have become an important part of the band’s diary. Bass player Steve Chilton said it’s always eagerly anticipated.

“The Swan Theatre show has become a permanent fixture in our otherwise changing annual schedule and it’s one we always look forward to immensely.

“The large stage and the acoustics of the theatre are perfect for us, and our light show always looks spectacular in there, making it a real pleasure to performthere every year.”

The eight members of Dark Side Of The Wall have more than 12 years’ experience behind them.

Their repertoire is the extensive Floyd back catalogue, from the very first studio album in 1967 (The Piper at the Gates of Dawn) through to the last (The Division Bell) in 1994, and shows are praised for being full of surprises.

The band originally started in 1996 when guitarist John Wall decided to perform some Pink Floyd numbers at his 50th birthday party.

From these humble beginnings the band grew in stature and by 2001 they were performing regularly to packed theatres and arts centres, using a state-of-the-art lighting show to give the full Floydian effect.
