A COUPLE are appealing for help in tracing two women named on a plaque in their barn.
Annette and Rod Juckes found the plaque when they moved into their barn in Abberley, between Worcester and Tenbury Wells.
It has the names Mary Robinson and Doris Claxton inscribed inside a heart with the date August 1944. Under the names are the initials WLA, which Mr and Mrs Juckes believe stands for Women’s Land Army. “We would just like to track them down if they are still alive,” Mr Juckes said.
If you know either of these women, contact Lucy Tatchell at your Worcester News on 01905 742253 or send an e-mail to lt@worcesternews.co.uk Pictured: Annette Juckes with the plaque.
