STAFF from Worcestershire construction company Weaver PLC got on their bikes for The British Heart Foundation by taking part in its annual cycle race around the county and raised £300.
It was the Bromsgrove company's strongest turnout to date, with 10 riders taking to the saddle. Team captain Scott Bryan said: “Everyone did really well, especially considering the lack of preevent training. Each member of the team made it to the finish and although there were a few complaints of saddle-soreness and aching limbs, it was an enjoyable day.” The 32-mile route took cyclists from Worcester Racecourse to Droitwich, Bromsgrove and then back to the starting point via the Worcester and Birmingham canal.
