A FUND-RAISER with a fishy theme is being held to raise money for a Worcester hospice.

The Crown Inn, in Main Road, Hallow, is running two competitions during sea food fortnight and all the proceeds will go to St Richard’s Hospice.

Manager Lizzie Cunningham said: “We have done a lot of fund-raising for the hospice and a lot of people in our area like supporting them.”

For £1 people can guess the name of the goldfish behind the bar, and whoever gets it right wins the fish and a bottle of wine.

There is also a fish quiz for people to enter while they are enjoying a pint or a meal. All the questions are fish-related and it costs £1 to enter.

The winner will get a two-course meal for two people, excluding drinks.

Competitions are being held from Friday, September 5, to Sunday, September 21.

All the money will go to St Richard’s Hospice, in Wildwood Drive, Worcester, which cares for patients with terminal illnesses.
