A BLAZE has broken out at an electricity substation in Worcester.
Firecrews are currently at the scene waiting for the electricity supply to be turned off before they can tackle it.
Crews were called at 2.45pm today to the roundabout in St Peter's and it is not yet known what caused the fire.
A spokesman for Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service said: "Crews are still there and waiting for Central Networks to isolate the supply. It is smouldering at the moment."
A spokesman for Central Networks added: “The electricity would only have gone off for about a minute in around 6,000 homes and businesses in the area but it was diverted straight away. So no services have been affected.”
