MORE daredevils are needed to scale a Worcester shopping store and abseil back down it next month.
There is still space for five more people to take part in the event down the side of the Debenhams store on High Street to help raise money for Worcester-based bereavement charity the Noah’s Ark Trust.
City mayor Lucy Hodgson will be one of the brave fund-raisers taking part in the challenge which will help raise money for the trust.
Hayley Fowler, community fundraiser for north Worc-estershire said: “Everyone is welcome to do the abseil as long as you are over 18 years old and have a head for heights.
“We already have a team of 35 abseilers and need another five people to take part. It’s a great way to conquer fears, start your weekend with a bang and raise much-needed funds for charity.”
The event takes place on Saturday, September 6 from 11am until 4pm and each person taking part needs to raise a minimum of £50 sponsorship.
Currently the Trust is working closely with your Worcester News as they are looking for a new home within the heart of the community that they can rent at a peppercorn rate.
If you would like to help raise money by taking part in the abseil for the charity to continue providing their vital free service for children across the two counties, or if you have a property they could use, contact Hayley Fowler on 01905 745735 or e-mail hayley.f@noahsarktrust.co.uk.
