A WORCESTER shop manager has shaved his head in aid of the County Air Ambulance.
Gareth Hirst found the Warndon community so welcoming when he moved to the area a year ago he wanted to give something back.
So he held a sponsored head shave, with the help of hairdressers from Tj’s in Cranham Drive, Warndon.
Mr Hirst, aged 29, said: “It seemed like a good idea at the time. The air ambulance is a very worthy charity.”
Mr Hirst, who is the manager of William Hill in Cranham Drive, Worcester, raised £277 for the charity. The company matched the amount, creating a total of £554.
The charity operates an emergency service seven days a week, 365 days a year.
