MEET the first disabled member of the new St John's sports centre.
Wheelchair-bound Yvonne Lloyd, aged 70, entered a prize draw and won a three-month membership.
Mrs Lloyd, who works as a volunteer for Shopmobility in the city centre, was delighted to discover the state-of-the-art centre on Malvern Road was accredited for disabled users. Mrs Lloyd, who has rheumatoid arthritis, said: "I was a little concerned that I wouldn't be able to use any of the equipment.
"Knowing that the centre is fully accredited for users like me is wonderful news."
The centre is set to open on Monday, September 8.
