AN historic train bringing visitors to the city has passed through Worcester.
The 6233 Duchess of Sutherland steam train reached speeds of up to 75mph (120.7 km/h) as it travelled from London Victoria station at about 9am today.
After stopping in Cheltenham, the steam train arrived in Worcester at Shrub Hill about lunchtime giving people a chance to take in the sights, sounds, and shops for about four hours in the afternoon.
The trip, organised by Steam Dreams, is new to the company’s Cathedrals Express intinerary for 2008. Prices for the trip ranged from £65 per person to £199.
