MISS Worcester Rosabella Styles popped into the Guildhall for a cup of coffee to help brew up some interest in a charity campaign.
Miss Styles was launching a search for people to host the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning, an event organised by Macmillan Cancer Support.
The charity wants to break the record for the biggest ever coffee morning on Friday, September 26.
Last year’s event raised a staggering £88,000 at 420 separate events in Worcestershire.
Kelly Edwards, Macmillan fund-raising manager for the county, said: “People register to host a coffee morning at work, at home or in the community and invite their friends and colleagues to have a great time whilst raising much needed funds to help people affected by cancer.”
The money raised will go towards introducing two new Macmillan nursing posts including a skin cancer specialist and a countywide cancer information and support service where people can go and ask questions.
Previous funding has already helped fund Macmillan hospital clinical nurse specialists and a dedicated palliative care team based at Worcestershire Royal Hospital.
Volunteers should call 0845 602 1246 or visit macmillan.org.uk/coffee for more information.
