FREE children’s drama workshops have been such a hit they could be repeated next year.

These youngsters took part in the Worcester Time Machine Project – a week-long theatre workshop which climaxed with a show at Worcester’s Swan Theatre on Friday.

The scheme was run by Worcester Alliance and was aimed at children who might not usually have access to the arts.

Maggie Bryan, of Worcestershire County Council, praised the children and their parents for their dedication.

“A few of the parents said their children had never been given the chance to do this sort of thing,” she said. “Even on Thursday I spoke to one girl who wasn’t sure if she could go on stage because of her nerves. When I saw her after the show she was smiling from ear to ear.”
