I saw a shadow in the night
Something lurking ready to fright
I saw the bins they moved and jerked
This stranger was in the dark it lurked
The fog began to crawl away
Oh how at that point I wished it was day
I closed my curtains quickly and ran
Me heart was beating I thought it was a man
But then a flash came, a torch light
Something that came throught my curtains and was extremely bright
WHAT COULD IT BE?
WHO COULD I SEE?
Then I looked out, and a figure I saw
Coming closer to my front door
The lock it clicked, the door it fell
No sound, no knock or no bell
Suddenly footsteps, one, two, three and four
Now it was at my own door
I ran and pressed my door dead shut
I had so many questions, who, how and what?
But their strength was immense and overcame mine
I new that it was that time
To let my door open, let this mysterious figure become a real one
I thought at that point it was going to come,
But then it went quiet kind of eerie
I could not stand it; I didn't want to be weary
But I had to be, I could not see
What was right in front of me!
I opened the door and out I walked
The figure it spoke, a man that talked
I realised it was no stranger
I was in no particular danger
Oh how great a feeling it was to know that that man I saw
Who I stopped from entering through my door
Was the person that sits on my couch
With me, my mum and brother, together we slouch
Oh how silly I was, how scared my thoughts came
I then felt as I wandered back to my room, how stupid how lame!
Oh well
Bed now!
Time to say goodnight
All of the end of that fright, goodbye, farewell, and sleep tight, and don't look out of the window at night.
