Try bubbles and bucks fizz for a great hen party

Chessgrove Day Spa will be at the fair at the Fownes Hotel, City Walls Road, and staff will pamper visitors with mini-make up sessions as well as mini-manicures and pedicures.

The day spa, near Hanbury, specialises in helping brides achieve a flawless bridal glow.

Information about the spa, which includes a thermal suite with a vitality hydro pool, herbal steam and sauna, ice fountain and experience shower, will be playing on a DVD.

There will also be details of its bridal offers and make-up sessions with a new range of Jane Iredale products and hen party packages.

The spa’s director, Eve Toole, said: “As well as the spa facilities, there’s a bar and a restaurant so that girls can go and spend the whole day for some luxurious pampering.”

“We have an al fresco pool and indoor pool and it’s set in a converted threshing barn in a beautiful rural setting.”

Brides-to-be can also enter a competition to win three months free membership or day passes in the run-up to their wedding.

Also at the fair is Waveform Productions, a company that specialises in sound, lighting and multimedia packages.

Director Paul Mousley said: “We have plasma screens or projection screens so people can have photos from their wedding day on display.

“We also give them full control of the music we play and we specialise in outdoor lighting for marquee weddings.”

They will be among more than 40 exhibitors showcasing some of the most breathtaking dresses, smart suits, beautiful jewellery, flowers, and stunning venues and cars available in Worcestershire.

The event will run from 11am and 3.30pm on Sunday, August 31. Admission and parking are free.

Visitors are advised to bring cash and chequebooks to the weding fair as credit card facilities will not be available.
