WORCESTERSHIRE-based supply chain specialist TM Logistics has secured a further three-year multi-million pound contract with European Automotive 1st Tier Plastic Omnium.
TML, which started working with Plastic Omnium's Automotive Exterior Division in 2004, has been awarded a contract extension to 2011.
The contract sees TM Logistics, which has its headquarters at Martley, near Worcester, providing support services and logistics for a sophisticated just-in-time sequencing operation that delivers bumpers to top-end car manufacturers including Land Rover, Jaguar and Vauxhall seven-days-a-week, as well as essential co-ordination of all Plastic Omnium's UK logistics requirement.
"In an operation like this, there's no margin for error and customers need to know they can rely on us completely," said David Bratton, TM Logistics' business development director.
Ruth Stevens, UK purchasing manager for Plastic Ominium, added: "We were impressed with the customer focus element of TM Logistics' proposal within a very competitive tender process.
"We operate in a very demanding and changing environment and it is essential for us to have a logistics partner with whom we can continue to develop a long term partnership."
TM Logistics employs more than 350 people in 16 on-site operations and warehouses across the UK. Nationally, the firm operates a fleet of over 200 vehicles and 300 trailers and ranks many top name companies such as Crown Food UK, Kingspan Plc and Rexam Beverage Can UK Ltd amongst its client portfolio.
