FIREFIGHTERS have been tackling a blaze at a poultry farm overnight.
Crews were called to Beckford Poultry Farm, in Beckford, near Tewkesbury at about 10pm last night after reports of a barn fire.
Two fire engines from Evesham, a water carrier and two further appliances from Tewkesbury rushed to the scene and discovered a single storey farm building ablaze.
The 25 m (80 ft) by 60 m (195 ft) building was gripped by two separate fires, and relief crews were called in from Broadway in the early hours of this morning.
A Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman said relief fire crews were expected to be on station “throughout the night.”
It is not known if any poultry was in the building at the time.
