FIREFIGHTERS are taking part in a charity cycling event through Worcestershire on Sunday, September 7, to raise funds for the Fire Fighters Charity.
Participants will cycle across the five counties of the West Midlands, including Worcestershire.
Riders will be able to choose from 15 to 100-mile (24-160km) routes.
Phil Blacker, a firefighter from Bromsgrove Fire Station, said: “This challenge is ideal for any cyclist – for some 15 miles will be a real challenge, but for the hardcore rider the full route will really test their mettle.”
Participants must raise at least £50 in sponsorship to take part.
The Fire Fighters Charity supports firefighters through physical and emotional trauma. For more information email jsmith@firefighterscharity.org.uk or visit firefighterscharity.org.uk.
