A GROUP of Worcester women are feeling good after celebrating their first year together.
The Feel Good @ Fairfield group, who meet each Thursday to meet new friends and enjoy a healthier lifestyle held an open day to mark the occasion.
Women of all ages attend the group at the Fairfield Centre in Brickfields, who were also recently awarded a community champions grant of £2,000 from Community First which enabled them to purchase gym equipment, room hire, dance and exercise DVDs, training and travel costs for outings.
Beverley Pope, chairman of the club said: “Many members attend courses available at Fairfield learning centre and have progressed to courses at colleges – and we hold sessions of smoothie making, make our own dips and try new vegetable and taste exotic fruits.
“We raised about £240 on the open day and we were pleased to reach one year and we hope to encourage a lot more members to join,” she added.
If anyone wants any more details about the group, contact Mrs Pope on 01905 453937.
