A NEW walkway has been completed for residents of Peopleton, near Pershore.
The walkway is part of an extension to the footbridge over Bow Brook and replaces an older walkway that had become unsafe for use.
Worcestershire County Council’s Countryside Services completed the project as part of the ongoing programme of maintenance works to allow access to the public rights of way within the county.
Ian Bradley, Worcestershire County Council’s countryside access officer, said: “This is the first construction of this type of walkway in the county.
“It uses a number of standard kit bridges to create the walkway.
“Not only does this reduce construction costs but enables future repairs to be undertaken quickly, as we hold these kit bridges in stock.”
