A LENGTH of stolen copper pipe has been recovered by police in Pershore.
Officers recovered a small quantity of 22mm piping at around 10am on Thursday in the Abbey Park area of the town.
The pipe is believed to have been stolen from the area within the last few days, and now police are trying to locate and speak to the victim.
DC Dave Clark, investigating, said: “We have what we think is stolen piping, but no reports of a theft at this time, and so would like to talk to anyone who thinks this it may belong to them.”
Anyone who thinks they may be the rightful owner of the recovered piping should contact DC Clark on 08457 444 888, extension 3633.
Information can also be given anonymously by calling 0800 555 111.
West Mercia Constabulary launched Project Livewire last July to tackle the problem of metal theft across the area.
Officers have made around 200 arrests since the start of the campaign.
