A SCHOOL in Worcester has had its garden areas spruced up thanks to staff from a highways maintenance contractor.
A 12-strong team from Ringway formed an action team to transform an outdoor classroom area at Gorse Hill Primary School, Holly Mount Road, Tolladine.
They provided materials to build and install raised plant beds, planted them with flowers and vegetables, and are planning a return visit to lay a tarmac footway.
Project supervisor Phil Powell said: “The school will benefit from these improvements immensely.
"Children from the school joined in the work where possible and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the occasion.”
Ringway is the highways contractor Worcestershire County Council, and the work at the school was part of the company’s programme of community initiatives.
