PROVISIONAL results of Sats tests for 14-year-olds will be published this week, despite some marks still being missing, it has been announced.

However, breakdowns of results by local authority will not be published because there is still insufficient data available in all three subjects in every area of the country.

In Worcestershire there are still four primary and three secondary schools with no results in either English, maths or science.

They are: Callow End Primary (English); St Mary’s Catholic Primary, Broadway (English); St Joseph’s Catholic Primary, Droitwich (maths), St Joseph’s Catholic Primary, Malvern (maths); Evesham High (science), Tenbury High (English); the Chantry, Martley (English) and Habberley Pupil Referral Unit, Kidderminster (English and maths).

On Tuesday, ministers published national figures of curriculum tests for 11-year-olds, which showed that in Worcestershire, the number of key stage two pupils achieving the government target of level four was slightly below average in English and maths and on target for science.

The DCSF said further national and local authority information on key stage three results could be published in October.
