ARTWORK created by children with disabilities is to be sold to raise funds for charity next week.
The paintings were created by Worcestershire children at a special Accessible Art to Music workshop in Worcester’s Angel Centre, in Angel Place, It was the brainchild of Worcester woman Andrea Steele, who sold a piece of art for £500 in a London gallery in December.
“It was done by a little boy who couldn’t use his hands but used his wheelchair,” she said. “I wanted to do a similar thing but include lots of children with disabilities.”
About 39 children took part aged four to 13. Their paintings can be viewed and bought at Worcester’s Guildhall from 11am on Monday. Proceeds will be donated to Acorns Children’s Hospice and the Duchenne muscular dystrophy campaign.
