For now...??? I have to say it's going to be a long way back from the lowly position that the Warriors find themselves in at the moment. Half way through the season and the record in the league is played 11, won 1, lost 10, with 9 points which is 9 behind the team above us... Who we play on New Years Day, Northampton Saints. It has been a particularly frustrating time at Sixways for all concerned, players, management and fans. We all hoped for so much more from this season, building on last season's 8th place. But it looks like it will be a different league that the Warriors will be playing next season.
I am not going to try and analyse what has gone wrong. I don't have all the information and nor am I qualified to do so. But I will be at Sixways in my season ticket holder’s seat next season whatever level of rugby I will be watching.
There is going to be some exciting development at Sixways, starting in the closed season, with a new sports complex, park and ride and a new North Stand, so there are things to look forward to. But for now, those who are involved with the Warriors are on a Helter Skelter waiting for the bump at the bottom of the ride...
