"ONE of the best" Chinese restaurants in Worcester has revealed it has unexpectedly closed for the foreseeable future.
The highly rated Chung Ying Garden in Friar Street is upset to reveal that it has been forced to close its doors with immediate effect.
Denny Chan took over the business in March 2022, and since the entire family has helped run the eatery.

Mr Chan, originally from Hong Kong, took over the business following the retirement of the previous owners.
Tsu Law, bar manager at Chung Ying Garden, said: "There is not much we can comment on at the moment as we are going through solicitors, but we have not seen this coming.
"It took us completely by surprise, and we have to close immediately and are going through legal proceedings now.

"My mum, the head chef, and I are quite upset, and we really enjoyed working here.
"We have loved getting to know the customers and we appreciate them and thank them fully for coming during the time we have been here."
Miss Law said she is hopeful that Chung Ying Garden will open its doors again in the future, but the future is uncertain.
"We are in limbo at the moment and we have contacted our solicitors to see if there is anything we can do to reopen.
"The plan is to reopen again in the future but we just do not know."
Last year, Chung Ying Garden was up for being named one of the best restaurants in the UK after customers voted them for the accolade under the England Business Awards.
According to Tripadvisor, it is also one of the highest-rated Chinese restaurants in Worcester.
Chung Ying Garden had first revealed the news of its closure through a post on Facebook.
A spokesperson wrote: "Due to unforeseen circumstances, the restaurant will be closed indefinitely.
"All customers who have made bookings will be contacted.
"Apologies in advance and we would like to thank all the customers who have supported us over these last few years."
