A TOWN'S bustling Christmas Market has been captured on film.

The footage, taken at Pershore's Georgian Christmas Fayre and lights switch-on, shows the streets packed with thousands of people from far and wide.

It's only the second time the event has gone ahead but councillors have said it was definitely better than last year.

Councillor Boatright-Greene said: "I was there on Friday in my high-vis jacket and apart from it being a bit cold it was absolutely brilliant.

"We had a really good turnout, it was just a really good Christmas celebration.

"The market was huge and it's great to see it get bigger.

"The town council has thrown everything at it and it brought people together.

"We held a big listening exercise with residents to get to know what they would like to see and I think we hit that balance between affordability and it being outdoors although there's always room for improvement.

"I might be a bit biased but I think it's one of the better ones in the county."
