A WOMAN has suffered cuts to her face after being knocked into a road in the city centre.
A stranger attacked the woman in broad daylight in Foregate Street on Friday (November 29) afternoon.
She suffered cuts to her face and bruising to a knee and her back following the incident near Hanbao restaurant at about 2.30pm.
A West Mercia Police spokesperson said: "We are appealing for witnesses following a woman being injured in Worcester on Friday afternoon (29 November).
"Around 2.30pm the victim was walking along Foregate Street, near to the Hanbao restaurant, when she was hit hard to her right side.
"She was struck with such force she was knocked into the road where she hit her head causing cuts to the face and bruising to her knee and back.
"She didn’t see the suspect and they left the area.
