A PICKUP truck fire forced a road to close for several hours.
Evendine Lane in Colwall was closed for almost three hours this morning (December 3) due to the fire.
The fire service used a fire hydrant to put the fire out and also entered a nearby garage next to the vehicle to stop it from spreading.
A Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "Two crews – one each from Ledbury and Malvern Fire Stations – were called to a small vehicle on fire in Evendine Lane, Colwall at 4.57am on December 3.
"A pickup was well alight with the fire extinguished by two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus and using two foam hosereel jets augmented from a street hydrant with dampening down also taking place.
"Access was gained to a double garage next to the burning vehicle and a thermal imaging camera was used to check for fire spread and hot spots.
"Evendine Lane was blocked in both directions.
"There were no casualties and no other emergency services were required."
