THREE trees have been 'suddenly chopped' down in a Worcestershire village.
The Ash trees, which combined measure of more than 100ft tall, are located adjacent to the roundabout in Ombersley.
Workers using a crane, a chainsaw and a mulcher were cutting down the trees this morning (December 2).
According to the workers, the trees had Ash Dieback, "a disease in the timber" and needed to go.
One worker had climbed the tree and a crane was being used to safely bring the wood to the ground.
One passer-by said: "I didn't know this was going to be happening.
"It's a shame but I suppose if they have a disease, it's better to chop them down than risk it spreading."
