A SECTION of a busy city road is up for sale and has appeared on RightMove.
Part of Tallow Hill between Shrub Hill Retail Park and Tallow Hill Car Park is going under the hammer with SDL Property Auctions on Tuesday, December 10.
According to a map of the site, the land appears to include some of the entrance to the retail park and some of the verges on the opposite side of the road.
The auctioneers have set a guide price of £500 and said the land is about 0.393 acres.
Legal documents show the seller of the site is St Modwen, the developer that built the retail park in 2002.
The city centre site had been disused for a number of years before its development, which involved building a new road, knocking down a pub and building two new bridges over the canal.

St Modwen sold the eastern section of the retail park for £13 million in 2004 and the western section a year later for £5m.
But it appears this section of the road had remained in its possession.
A letter from Worcestershire County Council to St Modwen dated May 2014 says it is the council’s intention to adopt roadworks listed as “Tallow Hill bridge and link road” as “highways maintainable at the public expense”.
The county council, as the highways authority for Worcestershire, is responsible for maintaining the road itself.
Worcester City Council owns and maintains Tallow Hill Car Park.
