The family of a beloved student, who tragically died in Worcester aged 18, are "determined to keep his memory alive" with their latest donation.

In a touching tribute to community spirit, Tom's Fund Charity has generously donated a brand-new football kit to South Bromsgrove High School.

The kit was donated in memory of former student Tom Jones who tragically died in 2018 after falling in the River Severn in Worcester.

The donation celebrates Tom's enduring love for football and deep connection with the school.

Tom's mum Vicki said: "We still have such a bond with South Bromsgrove High and that's because of Tom."

Tom was a passionate sports enthusiast and a fierce competitor on the football field.

He believed in the power of sport to inspire, unite and bring out the best in people.

His family has continued his legacy by transforming their grief into impactful charity work.

The new football tops, which feature the school's emblem, symbolise more than just a kit by representing his family's ongoing commitment to keeping his memory alive.

By supporting the football teams, we hope to honour his memory and share his passion with future generations."

In partnership with Worcester Community Foundation, Tom's Fund raises money for various community projects focusing on providing sports-related opportunities for children and young adults.

The school said South Bromsgrove's teams will proudly wear the kit during their competitive fixtures to ensure that Tom's passion for football and the community remains alive every time they step onto the pitch.

The family's dedication to charity work has already touched countless lives and this latest act of giving back will ensure Tom's legacy continues to "inspire students to play with heart, determination and pride".

The new kit will be showcased in representative fixtures highlighting the school's talent and serving as a living tribute to the power of sport as a force for good.
