A SMALL convenience store revealed it will reopen next week after undergoing a "total transformation".
Claines Co-op, on Ombersley Road, has been closed for over a month while it embarks on a major makeover.
The store, known locally as the ‘little Co-op’ compared to the larger Co-op store at 46 Ombersley Road, will have self-service tills installed and a more general "fresher" and spacious look.
Staff revealed the store will officially open to the public on December 6.
Calvin Filipi, Co-op Store Manager, said: “It is an exciting time for the whole team as we relaunch the store for the community.

"We are delighted to see such a significant investment carried out, and the works will really enhance and improve the shopping experience.
"With a fresh new-look and more spacious lay-out it looks like a brand new store.
"It has been totally transformed."
Located at 387 Ombersley Road, the 1,250 sq ft store has undergone a significant investment with the works designed to improve the layout.
The store is also focusing on improving its existing parcel collection services through Deliveroo and DPD and its online home delivery of groceries – where orders are picked fresh in the local store and then delivered to your home.
Mr Filipi added: "We pride ourselves on being able to deliver the quality, choice, added services and value, which can be enjoyed by everyone in the community.
"We are looking forward to welcoming our members and customers back into their Co-op - we’re here to contribute to local life and serve and support our community, conveniently.”
Last year, rumours swirled on social media that Claines' 'little' Co-op would be closing.
A Co-op spokesperson dismissed these and confirmed that the branch would stay open and committed to the local community.
The larger, nearly 6,000 sq ft Co-op store, located at 46 Ombersley Road, relaunched in July this year after also undergoing a major refurbishment programme.
