A NINE-year-old and her mother were "inches away from death" after gunmen attacked their home while they slept.
Mother-of-three Natalie Brown was woken by loud bangs after bullets hit multiple windows - including her daughter's bedroom - in Cedar Avenue, Brickfields.
The incident has left the family fearing for their lives.
Miss Brown was alerted to the noise of multiple shots and someone taking a hammer to her front door at 7pm on Wednesday (November 27).
"It was like bang bang bang - they must have been firing and firing," said Miss Brown.
"I did not know what was going on. I was traumatised.
"Someone has actually come to my house to take us all out.
"I am scared they may come back thinking 'we put our lives on the line to shoot someone up and we didn't even shoot them out'."
Miss Brown said it would cost the council a lot of money to repair the damage to her home as they will need new windows and a new door.
Grandmother Joanna Brown said: "The reality of the situation is two people could have gotten killed.
"I nearly lost two of my babies," Mrs Brown added.
"I came home today from work because I was so worried.
"I am just too traumatised. These last few days, I have not slept worrying over what may happen to them."
West Mercia Police said they attended an incident where windows and a door were damaged at a house on Cedar Avenue in Worcester.
A spokesperson said: "Officers were deployed, and initial enquiries were carried out, and at around 8pm the same evening, an officer spoke to the victim in person at the address.
"It is believed the damage was caused by BB bullets, which have been recovered and are now subject to the forensic process.
"Enquiries are being carried out, including identifying any available CCTV.
"When the officer visited the address on Wednesday, suitable advice was given and a referral made for our designing out crime officers to carry out a crime prevention assessment.
"In addition, a marker has been added to the address should there be any further incidents."
