A NEW pizza takeaway is coming to Worcester soon at a former chip shop as we reveal the opening date and opening hours.
Domino’s is set to open a new store in Bath Road in Worcester on Monday, December 16.
We have previously reported how the new takeaway is taking shape at what was Bath Road Chippy.
The takeaway will become the third in the city with existing locations in St Johns and Warndon.
The store will be at 270 Bath Road, Worcester, 'providing delicious pizza, hand made with fresh dough, vine-ripened tomato sauce and always 100% mozzarella'.
This latest opening forms part of Domino’s largest franchise partner, SK Group’s ambition to open nine new stores ahead of Christmas, as it prepares for a busy festive season.
Collectively, the new stores will provide 225 jobs nationwide.
The store, which marks Domino’s third opening in Worcester, will be open seven days a week from 11am until 1am between Sunday and Thursday and between 11am and 2am on Fridays and Saturdays.
It is currently recruiting for roles, including shift managers, pizza-makers, and delivery drivers.
A spokesman for Domino's said: "For those looking to make some extra ‘dough’, Domino's Worcester South store is offering flexible working shifts to fit around existing schedules, with many training and progression opportunities. Apply to be a pizza-maker or a dough-livery driver now, by visiting the Domino’s recruitment website."
Ricky Kandola, operations director at SK Group said: “We’re excited to open another store in Worcester to deliver the nation’s favourite pizza. As we come into the busiest and most wonderful time of the year, we are also delighted to have Worcester South as part of the ten new stores we are opening across the country ahead of Christmas.

The store is celebrating with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Monday, December 16th at 11am, where community members and customers are invited to meet the new store team and try some freshly prepared Domino’s pizza.
The store will be giving out free personal pizzas with special golden postcards on opening day, as well as a free cookie with every collection order during opening week. Worcester residents can also enjoy scrumptious deals including 50% off pizza with no minimum spend using the code GOGET50% and two topping deals from £3.99 on collection orders.
