DROITWICH SPA FC is being visited by The King's representative for Worcestershire on Thursday (November 28), evening. 

The King's Representative for the county, high sheriff of Worcestershire, Charles Moyle will visit the club for a showcase of their disability football side as well as other football groups that use the facility. 

The disability football club is one of two charities nominated by mayor Alex Sinton for his 2024/25 mayoral term. 

The other nominated charity is SpeakEasy - a charity dedicated to giving a voice to those with learning disabilities. 

The showcase afternoon with begin in the St Richard's House Council Chamber where mayor Alex Sinton will be joined by The King's representative. There will be presentations and an awards ceremony for SpeakEasy Charity. 

This will be followed by the event moving over to King George's - the home of Droitwich Spa Football Club - to celebrate the disability football side, at 4:30. 

The different sides that use the ground will be showcase their skills, including the disability side. This will be followed by an awards ceremony and celebration presented by the high sheriff and the mayor. 

Finally, at approximately 6:30, there will be a performance by the 2516 Droitwich Air Cadets to round the community celebration afternoon off.
