A POPULAR farm has made a massive comeback after it was devastated by a large fire last year.
Churchfields, a Salwarpe venue with a café, micro-dairy and salt manufacturer, has returned for Christmas after experiencing an "incredibly hard year" when a fire destroyed three of its barns.
The family-run farm's Christmas was cancelled in November 2023 when 100 tonnes of hay caught fire just before it started its seasonal activities for visitors.
The Kerton family, who own Churchfields Farm, said Christmas is now back at the farm and they are determined to make this year one to remember for the right reasons.
Gillian Kerton, co-owner, said: “The last 12 months have been incredibly hard, as our family and fantastic team have worked tirelessly to overcome and recover.
“We are so grateful for the support we've received from our customers, and we can't wait to welcome everyone back to our best Christmas Experience yet."
The experience will include cheeky elves, a Mrs Claus' live show, a chance to meet Santa with a free toy for every child and a Christmas Sweet Shop.
There will also be a Festive Fairy Trail, a Candy Cane Lane, crafts and games.
The event will run from December 8 to 24 on selective days, and visitors have been asking to visit their website for more details.
"Our family love Christmas and we really think it shows in our Christmas Experience," said Mrs Kerton.
"Mums and Dads if you want to enchant your little ones with the magic of Christmas, we think you'll all love our magical Christmas Experience.
"From our family to yours - we hope to see you there!"
Churchfields Farm is a 5th generation farm that was originally a dairy farm.
Today, it's famous for its award-winning ice cream, Droitwich Salt, seasonal family-friendly events, and Fun Farm facilities, such as the Pumpkin Festival, Lambing Live, Easter Egg Hunt and more.
No animals were hurt during the Churchfieds fire, which broke out on November 23.
At the time, a spokesperson for Churchfields said: "Well, what a day that has been.
"Our heartfelt thanks go to the amazing firefighters from the Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue team, our friends and family for providing food and support, but also to the amazing team at Churchfields.
"We simply could not do it without you.
"Thank you for your continued support."
