YOUNGSTERS who have left the elderly fearing for their safety by kicking their doors and posting it on TikTok have been identified.

And now police have urged people to stop this 'disturbing' anti-social behaviour which has led to residents fearing for their safety.

Officers have identified six youngsters believed to be responsible for the trend, which has caused alarm and distress to the elderly and vulnerable as well as criminal damage.

Concerns were first raised last week when it was revealed the elderly living on Whitborn End and Lower Chase Road were being targeted.

Officers received further complaints of similar incidents on Goodwood Road, Elgar Avenue and the Malvern Vale estate.

In one case, someone's door had been kicked so hard it had caused criminal damage.

PCSO Becky Bullock and PCSO Kev Tudge of the Pickersleigh and Chase Safer Neighbourhood Police Team used CCTV images and spoke to local schools to track down the culprits.

A spokesperson for Malvern Police said: "Following reports of doors being kicked by youths in Lower Chase Road, Whitborn End, Goodwood Road, Elgar Avenue and the Malvern Vale estate, a group of six youths have been promptly identified.

"Police have viewed CCTV images and liaised with local Schools to identify those responsible.

"The youth's behaviour has caused alarm and distress to the elderly vulnerable residents that were targeted.

The Youths will now be dealt with accordingly through the West Mercia Police anti-social behaviour department and parents will be made aware of their Children's actions.

"This anti-social behaviour is unacceptable and can put victims in fear of their safety."

Cllr Paul Bennett, who represents Pickersleigh on the district council, told the Gazette he found the trend disturbing, adding this trend was causing quite a bit of distress.

Police will be carrying out added patrols, including plain-clothed patrols of the targeted areas.

Despite youngsters being identified, police will continue to patrol the targeted areas and deal with anyone who behaves poorly.

They have also urged parents to speak to their children and tell them not to take part in such trends.
